Soaring music, dramatic arias, emotional outbursts, and fascinating insight into the world of the arts, the artist, and the psyche of a renowned diva, Maria Callas. Terrency McNally puts "La Divina" center stage as she inspires, prods and terrorizes her students into giving the performances of their lives, all the while revealing her own life on the stage with memories from La Scala, her marriages, and her art. Inspired by a series of master classes Maria Callas conducted at Juilliard toward the end of her career, McNally's valentine to the legendary Callas and his love of opera.
